Louisville Lands Commitment from 2026 OL Benjamin Corhei
He becomes the second player to commit to the Cardinals today.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jeff Brohm and the Louisville football program have had another successful day on the recruiting trail.
Benjamin Corhei, an offensive lineman from Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Ga., announced on Sunday that he has verbally committed to Louisville. He chose the Cardinals over offers from several schools, including Florida State, Kentucky, and Miami.
Corhei’s commitment marks the second of the day for Louisville, following Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood cornerback Kris Brunson. Both players made their decisions after visiting the campus over the weekend.
In between those commitments, Radcliff (Ky.) North Hardin defensive lineman Josiah Hope announced his decommitment from Louisville. With Corhei now on board, the Cardinals have a total of 18 players in their 2026 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-5, 299-pound Corhei is ranked as the No. 55 interior offensive lineman in the class and the 97th overall prospect in Georgia by Rivals. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 949 overall player in the 2026 cycle.
Corhei was a key contributor to Lowndes’ strong offensive performance last season, helping the Vikings average 206.8 rushing yards per game. His efforts were part of an offense that totaled 371.0 yards per game. Lowndes finished the season with a 10-2 record, reaching the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
