Big Update for the New Jersey Devils

The men’s tournament will feature 12 teams competing in a total of 30 games, starting on Feb. 11, 2026

If you like to plan ahead, you’re in for a treat. The Olympic Men’s Hockey schedule was officially released on Tuesday, giving fans the chance to mark their calendars well in advance — especially those eager to watch not only their home country but also several New Jersey Devils players compete on the international stage.

Just a day earlier, national hockey federations unveiled the first six names of their preliminary Olympic rosters, with five current Devils making the cut.

The 12-team tournament kicks off on February 11 and will span 30 games, concluding in epic fashion with the gold medal match on February 22 — just before the Winter Games’ Closing Ceremony.

Each nation will participate in three preliminary round games, which will determine seeding for the qualification round. No team will be eliminated in the opening stage. Group winners and the best-performing second-place team will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while the rest will battle in elimination games for a spot in the final eight.
