Key Stat Leads Thunder to Game 5 Victory Over Pacers

The Oklahoma City Thunder secured a 120-109 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, taking a 3-2 series lead. While the Pacers struggled offensively, it wasn’t just star Tyrese Haliburton’s off night that sealed their fate. The real turning point was Indiana’s costly 22 turnovers, 15 of which came from Thunder steals.

With 6:16 left in the fourth quarter, the Pacers were down 105-97 and had possession. However, they turned the ball over on four straight possessions, and by the time they regained control, they were down 113-97 with 5:05 left. That sequence effectively ended the game.

Haliburton, playing through a leg injury, finished with just four points, six rebounds, and six assists, going 0-for-6 from the field and looking far from his usual self.

Oklahoma City has been exceptional at forcing turnovers throughout the playoffs, setting a historic pace. Their defensive prowess has them in prime position to win the championship in Game 6.
