Syracuse, N.Y. — Defensive lineman Kordaé Houston from the Class of 2026 announced his commitment to Syracuse on Monday.
Houston spent the weekend visiting Syracuse and returns to his home state of Texas as the 19th commitment in the Orange’s 2026 recruiting class.
Syracuse has now secured three commitments from its weekend visitors, with Kordaé Houston joining linebacker Gemaus Sackie and Jimmy Gregg, the top-ranked punter in the 2026 class.
Before arriving at Syracuse, Houston took an official visit to California from June 5-8. After seeing what the Orange had to offer, he chose them as his preferred ACC destination.
With standout freshman defensive lineman Maraad Watson transferring to Texas in the spring, Syracuse is searching for its next big contributor up front. Houston, who hails from the same region where current defensive coordinator and D-line coach Elijah Robinson once coached, could be a strong candidate to fill that void.
