Marcus Freeman Outshines James Franklin Once Again on the Recruiting Trail
Notre Dame continues to shine in the recruiting world, securing another top talent from Pennsylvania, outmaneuvering both Penn State and Texas in the process. The Fighting Irish’s big recruiting weekend is already showing results, with highly regarded linebacker Thomas Davis, Jr. reaffirming his commitment early on Wednesday. Just hours later, Notre Dame landed a huge commitment from offensive lineman Grayson McKeogh.
McKeogh, a towering 6-8, 285-pound force from Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania (right in the heart of Penn State territory), chose Notre Dame over heavyweight programs like Penn State and Texas—despite having visited the Penn State campus multiple times.
This marks the second major offensive line prospect for Notre Dame’s 2026 class. McKeogh, a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite rankings, is also ranked as a top-10 player in Pennsylvania.
McKeogh was part of Notre Dame’s successful on-campus recruiting weekend, which continues to bear fruit, with more expected commitments on the horizon. The La Salle College Prep standout is the 17th commitment in the 2026 class and the fifth offensive lineman.
