Four Orioles Stars Featured on Top-30 Trade Deadline Big Board
As the 2025 MLB trade deadline draws near, the Baltimore Orioles are beginning to position themselves as one of the most active sellers. While the team has improved over recent weeks, their overall outlook for the season hasn’t significantly shifted.
The Athletic’s Tim Britton, Aaron Gleeman, and Eno Sarris recently released their top 30 trade deadline big board, highlighting the best players likely to be moved. Four Orioles players made the list, with all of them considered strong candidates to be dealt.
No. 3 – CF Cedric Mullins
Mullins has seen a slight dip in his batting average this year, but his power numbers have taken a step up. He’s on track to hit around 30 home runs for the second time in his career. The 30-year-old outfielder should be an attractive rental for contending teams looking for a power boost to their lineup.
No. 9 – RHP Zach Eflin
Acquired at last year’s trade deadline, Eflin was expected to be a solid complementary piece in the Orioles’ rotation. However, he’s struggled to live up to that expectation, posting a 4.81 ERA through 10 starts this season. Despite that, the 31-year-old should still be a desirable target as a veteran right-handed starter with plenty of experience.
No. 14 – 1B Ryan O’Hearn
O’Hearn has perhaps been the most consistent part of the Orioles’ offense this season. His .306/.385/.493 slash line, with 10 home runs in 60 games, is the best pace he’s set since his rookie year. Moving him would create room for prospect Samuel Basallo in the lineup. As a left-handed rental bat, O’Hearn should bring in a solid return, ranking as the second-highest rated first baseman on the market.
No. 29 – UTIL Ramón Urías
Urías, while sitting lower on the board, is actually the top middle infielder listed. His versatility—having played all four infield spots—boosts his trade value. Through 50 games this year, he’s posted a .271/.324/.386 line with four home runs and 23 RBI, along with solid defense. His ability to play multiple positions should make him an appealing asset for teams in need of depth.
