Kentucky secures commitment from one of the Midwest’s top tight ends.

Lincoln Watkins, a tight end from Port Huron (Mich.) High, announced his commitment to Kentucky on Saturday.

“These coaches are unlike any I’ve encountered before,” Watkins shared. “The culture is second to none.”

Watkins chose to play for head coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats, over offers from Florida, Indiana, and others.

Ranked as the No. 31 tight end in the country by On3 Industry, Watkins becomes Kentucky’s eighth commitment for the 2026 class.

A dual-threat player in high school, Watkins caught 39 passes for 668 yards, added 39 rushes for 245 yards, and scored 17 total touchdowns. He also made 42 tackles on defense.

With over 30 offers, Watkins also gave serious consideration to NC State before making his decision.
