4-Star SG Kohl Rosario Commits to Kansas, Reclassifies to 2025

Kohl Rosario has committed to Kansas and will reclassify to the 2025 class, he confirmed to On3. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard will skip his senior year at Moravian Prep (NC) and join Bill Self and the Jayhawks for the upcoming season.

The Miami native chose Kansas over offers from programs like Oregon, Duke, Miami, and Florida State.

Rosario’s impressive summer performance led to a significant rise in the On3 Player Rankings, moving up 64 spots to No. 27 in the nation. His ranking will be reassessed now that he’s moving into the 2025 class.

Rosario becomes the fourth incoming freshman for Kansas, joining Five-Star Plus+ shooting guard Darryn Peterson, four-star power forward Samis Calderon, and three-star shooting guard Corbin Allen.

Rosario Shines at EYBL Memphis

On3’s Jamie Shaw highlighted Rosario as one of the standout players at the EYBL Memphis event last month:

“One of the breakout players this summer, Kohl Rosario displayed a strong mix of efficient shooting and explosive finishing at the rim. Listed at 6-foot-5, he opened the weekend with a 28-point performance that set the tone.”

Rosario is the ideal shooting guard. He possesses explosive leaping ability and a smooth shooting stroke, coupled with good length. He maintains great balance off the ball and is always ready to shoot when the ball comes his way. Although he still needs to refine his shot creation skills, he’s proven himself to be a strong finisher, whether attacking the rim or in catch-and-shoot situations.

Rosario has been shooting 44.4 percent from three for Team CP3, with many of his attempts coming off the catch or stepping into them. His consistent release and natural balance help him maintain accuracy. Known for his length and athleticism, he also gives strong effort defensively and is an active rebounder in his area. While he continues to work on his ball handling and ability to create in the half-court, he plays within his limits, as evidenced by his two turnovers over 83 minutes at EYBL Memphis.
