Three-Star WR Jeffar Jean-Noel Commits to Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech has secured a key commitment for its 2026 recruiting class, as three-star wide receiver Jeffar Jean-Noel announced on social media that he is joining the Yellow Jackets. This makes Jean-Noel the 17th recruit in the class and the fifth wide receiver. The former West Virginia commit had been pursued by Georgia Tech, and today they officially added him to the roster.
Jean-Noel plays for the prestigious American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 1176 player in the nation, No. 182 wide receiver in the country, and No. 136 prospect in Florida. Standing at 5’10” and 170 pounds, Jean-Noel is known for his speed. He took official visits to Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, and UCF, and also held offers from schools such as Wisconsin, Boston College, Louisville, Michigan, Miami, Missouri, NC State, UCLA, USF, and Washington.
With Jean-Noel’s commitment, Georgia Tech’s class jumps to No. 36 nationally.
Could More Additions Be on the Horizon?
Meanwhile, Georgia Tech’s recruiting efforts continue, with another key target in play. Freddie Wilson, a defensive line prospect from Florida, recently announced his top three schools, and Georgia Tech made the cut, alongside Miami and Minnesota. Wilson is a three-star player and would be a valuable addition to Coach Brent Key’s defense. However, there are indications that Wilson might be leaning toward Miami, as evidenced by a recent 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction from Miami analyst Gaby Urruti.
Wilson, a 6’4″, 265-pound defensive lineman from Spruce Creek High School, is ranked No. 520 nationally, No. 61 among defensive linemen, and No. 72 in Florida. He finished his junior season with 65 tackles (7 TFLs) and 5 sacks, helping Spruce Creek to an 8-4 record and a spot in Florida’s 7A playoff second round.
247Sports’ Najeh Wilkins provided his analysis of Wilson, praising his ability to control the line of scrimmage and his strong offseason improvements, including a 315-pound bench press. Wilson also recently posted on his social media thanking Georgia Tech after his official visit on June 13, which could signal a positive outlook for the Yellow Jackets.
Currently, Georgia Tech has not secured any interior defensive linemen for the 2026 class, with only Alex Willis from Orlando committed. As the official visit season wraps up, more commitments are expected soon as recruits finalize their college decisions.
