Mizzou Secures Commitment from Rising 3-Star OT Khalief Canty Jr.
The Missouri Tigers have added their first offensive line commitment for the 2026 class, securing three-star offensive tackle Khalief Canty from Detroit. Canty, who played at Cass Technical High School last season, becomes the Tigers’ fourth overall commitment for the class.
Ranked as the No. 431 player nationally, No. 38 at his position, and No. 9 in Michigan by 247Sports’ composite rankings, Canty brings significant potential to Mizzou’s offensive line.
After completing an official visit to Missouri, Canty clearly felt a strong connection to the program. The Detroit native also took official visits to Michigan State, North Carolina, and Michigan, with the Tigers, Tar Heels, and Spartans emerging as the top contenders in his recruitment.
Canty held offers from a variety of Power 5 programs, including Michigan State, North Carolina, Michigan, and Alabama. However, Missouri ultimately secured his commitment.
With Canty’s pledge, Missouri now has five commitments in the 2026 class, joining four-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar, four-star wide receiver Jabari Brady, four-star linebacker Keenan Harris, and three-star tight end Isaac Jensen.
The Tigers are expected to continue adding to their 2026 class, with more commitments likely in the coming weeks as head coach Eli Drinkwitz builds momentum.
