BOOM!!!Syracuse Basketball Makes Huge Hire

The Syracuse men’s basketball program has added a new strength and conditioning coach to its staff.

Robert Harris joins the Orange with an impressive résumé that includes experience in both the SEC and the NFL.

Harris previously served as the head strength and conditioning coach for Kentucky men’s basketball for nine seasons. During his tenure, the Wildcats reached the NCAA Tournament seven times, including a trip to the Final Four. He worked with over 20 future NBA draft picks, including stars like Devin Booker, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

With a total of 15 years coaching at the Power Four and professional levels, Harris brings a wealth of experience to Syracuse.

Most recently, he spent two seasons at Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee, following his long stint at Kentucky. He also spent time working with the Cincinnati Bengals, adding NFL experience to his resume.
