Rams’ Upcoming Season Holds Major Significance

The Los Angeles Rams have set their sights on one clear objective this season. After a productive offseason, there’s plenty of optimism surrounding the team as they head into the 2025 campaign. The Rams have made several key changes and additions, positioning themselves as one of the top teams in the league.

Henry McKenna of FOX Sports recently shared his thoughts on what could go well for each NFL team this season, and he believes that Matthew Stafford has a legitimate shot at leading the Rams to another Super Bowl appearance.

“Stafford and Sean McVay have what it takes to win another Super Bowl,” McKenna said. “I even picked the Rams to make it to the Super Bowl in my way-too-early playoff bracket. At this point, the Rams should be gunning for a Lombardi Trophy every year until Stafford retires.”

While the Rams lost Cooper Kupp, they’ve replaced him with a top-tier weapon in Davante Adams. And though they took a major hit when Aaron Donald retired in 2024, they managed to draft two standout linemen, Jared Verse and Braden Fiske, who could help strengthen their defense.

Stafford reflected on his journey and the evolution of his game in a recent interview:

“It’s something you have to learn over time,” Stafford said. “When I first started in the NFL, I leaned heavily on the veterans around me to guide me through the process. I was surrounded by smart players, and I tried to soak up as much knowledge as I could. But you have to find what works for you.”

He also mentioned the significant changes he’s seen over his 17-year career, especially in defensive schemes.

“The game has evolved so much,” Stafford noted. “What used to be typical on defense isn’t the same anymore. It’s become much more complex. Playing with a guy like Calvin Johnson early on, I’d watch a ton of tape, but when we played, defenses would completely change, clouding or doubling him the entire game. It was a challenge, but I tried to learn as much as I could, and I think that’s really paid off as my career has progressed.”
