Gonzaga Secures Commitment from Spanish Prospect Mario Saint-Supery

Gonzaga has successfully landed a commitment from Mario Saint-Supery, a 19-year-old international guard from Spain, for the 2025-26 college basketball season.

The 6-foot-3 guard had been a target for the Bulldogs for some time, with his official commitment coming just a month after reports suggested he was likely to choose Gonzaga. According to a formal announcement, Saint-Supery has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the university.

Under head coach Mark Few, the Bulldogs have built a strong reputation for developing international players into NBA prospects, and Saint-Supery could be the next in line. Already with professional experience in Spain’s top league, Saint-Supery spent last year playing for BAXI Manresa, where he gained exposure in both the Liga ACB and the Champions League.

Known for his sharp court vision and excellent passing, Saint-Supery possesses many qualities that Gonzaga looks for in a point guard. His fit alongside other members of the Bulldogs’ backcourt, such as Arizona State transfer Adam Miller, Colgate transfer Braeden Smith, and rising junior Emmanuel Innocenti, will be one to watch.

Saint-Supery, who was on loan from Unicaja, made an impressive mark in the Liga ACB, earning All-ACB Best Young Team honors. He averaged 8.0 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 45.9% from the field and 35.9% from beyond the arc on 2.1 attempts per game.

He also earned recognition on the international stage, making three appearances with the Spanish national team in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. Saint-Supery gained significant attention during the 2024 U18 FIBA EuroBasket, where he averaged 21.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists, including a triple-double performance (35 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) against Slovenia. He was named MVP of the 2022 FIBA U16 European Championship.

Gonzaga’s 2025 recruiting class now includes two additional commits: four-star recruit Davis Fogle and three-star forward Parker Jefferson. With the addition of Saint-Supery, the Bulldogs’ roster now stands at 12 scholarship players, in line with NCAA regulations that allow up to 15 scholarship players following recent changes related to the House v. NCAA settlement.
