“Big News for Auburn Tigers: It’s Official”
The Auburn/Nike partnership has officially begun!
Starting on July 1st, the Tigers have entered into a 10-year agreement with Nike.
While the partnership kicks off today, Nike merchandise will be available for online and in-store purchases starting July 25th.
Auburn’s social media shared a video highlighting the new Nike sponsorship.
The Nike launch video showcased notable landmarks and hidden gems for all Auburn fans to appreciate.
It included scenes from Precision Cuts barbershop and a serene studying moment at the iconic Momma G’s, capturing the spirit of the community and concluding with the Auburn football tiger walk.
“We are excited to start the Nike era of Auburn football,” said Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze. “I’ve witnessed Nike’s dedication to excellence and innovation firsthand. Our student-athletes are eager to compete in Nike cleats and uniforms in front of the best fans in college football this season at Jordan-Hare Stadium.”
Men’s basketball associate head coach Steven Pearl and women’s basketball coach Larry Vickers also shared their thoughts on the transition to Nike.
“Nike basketball is the most recognized brand globally,” Pearl noted. “All our student-athletes and recruits acknowledge this and want to be part of it.”
Vickers added, “Nike does a fantastic job of supporting the growth of women’s basketball. They are committed to both the sport and the players, which makes it exciting to be part of that journey.”
Auburn baseball coach Butch Thompson emphasized how the Nike era will enhance recruiting across all sports.
“There’s not a student-athlete who isn’t thrilled about Nike,” Thompson remarked. “You can see it in younger recruits; when they’re not under contract, Nike is often their top choice.”
