4-Star Oklahoma Commit Daniel Odom Plans Visit to Colorado Buffaloes: Could a Flip Be Coming?
Daniel Odom, a four-star wide receiver from the class of 2026 who has been committed to the Oklahoma Sooners since January, is reportedly planning to take a recruiting visit to the Colorado Buffaloes during the upcoming season. Could Coach Deion Sanders be making a push to flip Odom’s commitment from Oklahoma to Colorado?
Despite his commitment to Oklahoma, the recruitment of Odom, a 6-foot-1, 178-pound prospect from Bellflower, California, is far from finished. According to Rivals’ Adam Gorney, Odom intends to visit Colorado this season to get a feel for the program. While flipping his pledge will be challenging, Sanders appears to have caught Odom’s attention.
“I have Colorado during the season,” Odom told Rivals. “I just want to see the atmosphere and experience the place. I don’t want to look back and think, ‘I could have gone there. That could have been something.’”
Odom, who received an offer from Coach Prime in May, is ranked as the No. 40 wide receiver in his class and the No. 25 prospect in California by the 247Sports composite rankings. Throughout his recruitment, Odom has also been linked to major programs like the Washington Huskies, Florida State Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, and Texas Longhorns, among others.
Last season at St. John Bosco High School, Odom had a standout year, recording 45 receptions for 682 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 36 catches for 548 yards and seven touchdowns.
While Oklahoma currently has 15 commits in the class of 2026, the Sooners’ class ranks No. 34 nationally and No. 10 in the SEC according to 247Sports. In contrast, Deion Sanders has been on a recruiting hot streak, with seven class of 2026 commits joining Colorado since June 24. Surprisingly, the Buffaloes haven’t landed a wide receiver in this class yet, making Odom a key target in their recruiting efforts.
