Arizona Cardinals Reportedly Eyeing UFL Star Kyon Barrs
As training camp approaches, the Arizona Cardinals are looking to add some new faces to their roster, and one notable UFL player, Kyon Barrs, is getting a chance to impress. Barrs will be working out with both the Cardinals and the Cincinnati Bengals this week, according to Pro Football Network’s James Larsen.
Barrs spent most of his college career at Arizona before finishing up at USC in his final year. After going undrafted in 2024, he struggled to find a permanent team, initially signing with the Tennessee Titans before joining the Seattle Seahawks for the preseason. However, he was released in September and couldn’t find a new team. Determined to keep his professional football dreams alive, Barrs joined the UFL, where he became a full-time starter for the Arlington Renegades. In the 2024 season, he posted 23 tackles and a sack over 20 games.
Now, Barrs is getting another shot at the NFL with workouts scheduled with both the Cardinals and Bengals.
The Cardinals made significant moves to strengthen their defensive line this offseason, signing veterans Calais Campbell and Dalvin Tomlinson through free agency and selecting Walter Nolen in the first round of the draft. These additions join returning players like LJ Collier, Bilal Nichols, and Justin Jones, alongside younger talents such as Darius Robinson and Dante Stills. With so much competition on the defensive line, Barrs will need to stand out significantly if he hopes to earn a spot on the roster. Although he brings notable size and strength to help anchor the run defense, making the team will be a tough challenge for the 300-pound defensive lineman.
