Titans Release Former Super Bowl Champion Running Back
The Tennessee Titans have parted ways with one of their running backs.
According to team reporter Jim Wyatt, the Titans have released Tyrion Davis-Price following the signing of Jordan Mims on Thursday morning.
Davis-Price, 24, was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of LSU. However, he struggled to find a consistent role in the league. He appeared in six games during his rookie season, rushing for 99 yards on 34 carries.
He made just one appearance for the 49ers in 2023 before being waived in early December.
In 2024, Davis-Price signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he bounced between the practice squad and the active roster. He eventually played in one game during Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys, earning his first Super Bowl ring when the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now, Davis-Price is looking for a new opportunity in the league as he aims to capture his second championship.
