Over 42,000 fans were in attendance for Marte’s bobblehead night but were disappointed not to see him play. Lovullo said, “He’s back in Arizona, getting grounded after everything that’s happened. He’s expected to be here tomorrow, but we’ll see.”
While Lovullo wasn’t certain whether Marte would be in the lineup on Sunday, he emphasized the emotional toll of the situation: “This is a lot for him to process. We’ll take our time with him, and when he’s ready, we’ll get him back out there.”
