The New Orleans Saints are set for some changes ahead of the 2025 NFL season, but what exactly will those changes look like?
One of the biggest shifts will be at quarterback, with Tyler Shough or Spencer Rattler expected to step into the role. However, there are several other questions looming, one of which involves a fan-favorite. Taysom Hill, who has become the Saints’ versatile playmaker, faces an uncertain 2025 season.
ESPN’s Katherine Terrell recently discussed Hill, calling him the team’s “biggest question” among veterans heading into training camp.
“Hill is the biggest question for the veterans after tearing his ACL in December,” Terrell noted. “The Saints haven’t provided a timetable for his return, though he did make an appearance on the sidelines during a minicamp practice in June. Hill has been the ultimate Swiss Army knife for the Saints, and losing him for a long stretch would be a tough hit to the offense.”
Coming off a major injury, Hill’s return remains uncertain, and there was earlier talk this offseason about the possibility of a trade or even a release. At this point, everything is still on the table. Hopefully, he can recover in time to continue his role with the team into 2025. Training camp is approaching, and we’ll soon learn more.
