Jets Playmaker Criticizes Aaron Rodgers, Robert Saleh Era
Things are clearly different with the New York Jets compared to last year.
After high hopes with the arrival of Aaron Rodgers, the Jets had a disappointing 5-12 finish to the season, falling short of expectations.
In response, the team hired Aaron Glenn as the new head coach, and since then, players have been vocal about how much the organization has changed for the better.
Running back Breece Hall is the latest to share his thoughts, as reported by ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
“Breece Hall says it ‘feels a lot better’ going to work every day compared to last year,” Cimini reported. “He mentioned there was ‘a lot of instability around the whole operation’ last year and added that players have fully bought into the new coaching staff.”
These comments seem like a clear dig at former head coach Robert Saleh. After bringing Aaron Rodgers in, the focus was on surrounding him with the pieces he wanted, and Saleh’s task was to turn that talent into a Super Bowl-caliber team.
Since training camp, there’s been a consistent theme of change, with multiple references to “accountability” and a noticeable shift in team culture. While the Jets may not have the star power they did last year, it’s clear something has changed behind the scenes within the organization.
