Washington Football Recruiting: Huskies Making Waves in the 2026 Cycle
Washington has the potential to shake things up in the new-look Big Ten, and head coach Jedd Fisch and his staff are proving it with their impressive recruiting efforts for the 2026 cycle.
As of July 29, the Huskies have secured 21 commitments, placing them 18th nationally in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Within the Big Ten, this ranks them 6th, ahead of teams like UCLA, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, and Nebraska.
While Washington’s recruiting efforts have been strong throughout the summer, the real momentum shift came in April when they flipped offensive tackle Kodi Greene from Oregon. Greene, a highly coveted player from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, has ties to the Pacific Northwest and is currently ranked No. 19 in the Rivals300. He could even finish the cycle as a five-star recruit.
In addition to Greene, the Huskies have added some significant talent in recent months. Santa Clarita (Calif.) Valencia’s four-star running back Brian Bonner, ranked the No. 5 running back in the nation, committed to Washington in July. Another standout addition is Jeron Jones, a four-star cornerback from Mission Viejo, California.
The state of Washington is well represented in the class as well, with the No. 1 recruit from the state, four-star EDGE Derek Colman-Brusa from Seattle’s Kennedy Catholic, announcing his commitment on May 4. On the East Coast, quarterback Derek Zammit from Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic is also joining the Huskies, ranked as the No. 21 QB in the Rivals300.
