Orioles Trade Veteran Reliever Andrew Kittredge to Cubs
The Baltimore Orioles have traded veteran right-handed relief pitcher Andrew Kittredge to the Chicago Cubs, continuing their series of moves as they sell off pieces. The specifics of the return for Kittredge are not yet known. 
MLB insider Jon Heyman of The New York Post was the first to report the deal.
At 35 years old, Kittredge becomes the latest reliever to leave Baltimore this month. He joins Bryan Baker (traded to the Tampa Bay Rays), Gregory Soto (New York Mets), and Seranthony Dominguez (Toronto Blue Jays) as the fourth member of the Orioles’ bullpen to be moved.
Kittredge, who has a $9 million club option for next season, has posted a solid 3.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 31.1 innings this year.
In addition to Kittredge and the three other relievers, the Orioles also sent infielder Ramon Urias to the Houston Astros earlier on Wednesday.
As the trade deadline approaches Thursday at 6 p.m., other Orioles players, including Cedric Mullins, Charlie Morton, Tomoyuki Sugano, Zach Eflin, and Ramon Laureano, could also be on the move.
