Cincinnati Bengals Sign Tight End Noah Fant
The Seattle Seahawks have parted ways with tight end Noah Fant, who had been their leading tight end for all three seasons he spent with the team. However, Fant has quickly found a new home with the Cincinnati Bengals, one of the NFL’s top passing offenses. 
According to reports on Thursday, Fant has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bengals, where he will catch passes from quarterback Joe Burrow and compete for targets alongside standout wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the terms of the agreement.
Over his six-year career, which includes three seasons each with the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks, Fant has accumulated 300 receptions for 3,305 yards and 15 touchdowns. He averaged 34.8 yards per game and 11 yards per catch. Notably, Fant was part of the trade that sent quarterback Russell Wilson to Denver and had 130 catches for 1,400 yards and five touchdowns during his last three seasons with Seattle.
Despite being under a two-year extension with the Seahawks, Fant was released by Seattle just before training camp started, making him available for other teams as they prepared for the season.
Now, Fant joins an already potent offense in Cincinnati, which boasted the NFL’s top passing game last season. Quarterback Joe Burrow had a career year, completing 70.6% of his passes for 4,918 yards, 43 touchdowns, and just 9 interceptions, leading the league in several key categories, including passing yards and touchdowns.
Burrow’s success has been bolstered by his dynamic receiving duo of Chase and Higgins, widely considered one of the best in the league. Tight ends have also thrived in Burrow’s offense, with players like C.J. Uzomah, Hayden Hurst, and Mike Gesicki contributing significantly. Gesicki, in particular, was third in receiving for the Bengals last season with 65 catches for 665 yards and two touchdowns.
With the addition of Fant, the Bengals now have yet another reliable weapon for Burrow, further strengthening their already impressive arsenal. Fant will look to revitalize his career and become a more consistent contributor as part of one of the NFL’s most explosive passing offenses.
