Auburn Tigers Huge Favorites for Elite 2027 RB
Auburn Tigers Make Top 5 for Elite 2027 RB Tranard Roberts
Tranard Roberts, a top 100 recruit in the 2027 class, has included Auburn among his finalists.
The four-star running back revealed his top five schools on Sunday afternoon, with Auburn, Florida, Washington, Ohio State, and Michigan making the cut.
Roberts, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 195 pounds, is ranked as the No. 6 running back and No. 86 overall prospect in the 2027 class by 247Sports. He is also listed as the No. 7 player in Florida.
Originally from The Villages, Fla., Roberts recently announced his transfer to The Villages Charter High School after spending his sophomore year at IMG Academy. Prior to IMG, he played at Williston High School in Florida during the 2023 season.
In his time at IMG Academy, Roberts rushed for 300 yards and four touchdowns on 42 carries over nine games. He also recorded three receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown, earning an invitation to the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl.
Auburn was the first school to host Roberts unofficially, bringing him in for their 2023 season opener against UMass. The Tigers extended an official offer on June 1, 2024.
Although Roberts is not expected to make a decision anytime soon, a commitment to Auburn would add him as the Tigers’ second 2027 pledge, joining four-star safety Jaylen Scott. Scott, ranked No. 89 overall and No. 9 at safety by 247Sports, would be surpassed by Roberts as Auburn’s highest-rated recruit if he chooses the Tigers.
Auburn’s 2027 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 23 by 247Sports, and adding another top 100 recruit like Roberts could significantly improve their standing, potentially pushing them into the top 20.
