OHL Players and Prospects Named to U.S. National Summer Under-18 Team
USA Hockey has announced its roster for the upcoming 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which will be held in Brno, Czechia, and Trencin, Slovakia from August 11-16. The 23-player roster includes several newcomers to the OHL.
The roster, revealed after the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup Selection Camp at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan, includes three goaltenders, seven defensemen, and 13 forwards.
Oshawa Generals forward Brooks Rogowski leads the list, coming off an impressive rookie campaign in which he helped the team secure their second consecutive Eastern Conference title. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound winger from Brighton, Michigan is eligible for the 2026 NHL Draft and will play a crucial role in Oshawa’s plans for the 2025-26 season.
In addition to Rogowski, four players committed to the OHL for the 2025-26 season have also made the roster. These include third-round 2025 OHL Priority Selection pick Levi Harper from the Saginaw Spirit on defense, and forwards Caden Harvey of the Windsor Spitfires, Joseph Salandra of the Barrie Colts, and Jaxon Williams, the son of OHL and NHL alumnus Justin Williams, who will join the Ottawa 67’s.
There are also five players drafted by OHL clubs but yet to sign, as of August 4, who have been named to the Team USA roster.
After finishing fourth in last year’s tournament and winning bronze in 2023, Team USA is aiming for its first gold medal since 2003.
