PITTSBURGH – Pitt men’s basketball will face UCF on Nov. 20 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach and host Quinnipiac on Nov. 23 as part of the Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper, the Gazelle Group announced Thursday.
The Panthers’ matchup with UCF will be televised on ESPN2, with tip-off set for Thursday, Nov. 20. Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster.com or at the Ocean Center box office on game day.
Series History vs. UCF
Pitt leads the all-time series 1-0, earning a 53-44 win in the opening round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament. Carl Krauser led the Panthers with 20 points, while Chris Taft pulled down 16 rebounds.
Series History vs. Quinnipiac
This will be the first-ever meeting between Pitt and Quinnipiac.
2025–26 Roster Outlook
Pitt returns four scholarship letterwinners — Papa Amadou Kante, Cameron Corhen, Brandin Cummings, and Amdy Ndiaye — and has added four transfers: Barry Dunning Jr. (South Alabama), Nojus Indrusaitis (Iowa State), Dishon Jackson (Iowa State), and Damarco Minor (Oregon State).
The Panthers have also signed five incoming freshmen: Roman Siulepa (Brisbane State/South West Metro Pirates), Omari Witherspoon (St. John’s College), Henry Lau (Sydney Boys High/Sydney Kings), Macari Moore (Ann Arbor Huron), and Kieran Mullen (St. Thomas More). Recruiting efforts remain ongoing for 2025–26.
Pitt’s transfer class has a combined 2,806 points, 1,441 rebounds, 525 assists, and 211 steals in their careers. The frontcourt duo of Jackson and Corhen has totaled 1,859 points, 954 rebounds, 108 steals, and 159 blocks while shooting 57.3% from the field. Kante, a former top-100 recruit, is healthy after recovering from a knee injury and is expected to have an increased role.
Minor brings 1,308 career points, 620 rebounds, 361 assists, and 127 steals to the backcourt, which also features breakout sophomores Cummings and Indrusaitis, along with physical freshmen Witherspoon and Moore. Dunning Jr. joins after an all-conference season at South Alabama, where he averaged 17.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists, shooting 40.8% from deep over his final 20 games.
The roster also features strong international representation, including two players each from Australia (Siulepa, Lau) and Senegal (Kante, Ndiaye), Canadian Kieran Mullen, and Indrusaitis, who holds dual U.S.–Lithuanian citizenship and has played for Lithuania’s U18 and U20 national teams.
