West Virginia Adds JUCO Offensive Lineman for 2025 Season
West Virginia is continuing to strengthen its roster ahead of the new season. Coach Rich Rodriguez has made it clear that the team will keep adding players throughout fall camp, and the latest addition is offensive lineman Jude Edwards from Trinity Valley Community College. Edwards marks the sixth new player to join the roster since camp began. 
Background:
Standing 6’3″ and weighing 305 pounds, Edwards is an interior offensive lineman from League City, Texas. As a true freshman, he played in nine games last season and impressed enough to earn preseason second-team All-American honors for the upcoming year. He is now set to join West Virginia for the fall semester.
Junior college recruiting remains a key focus for the Mountaineers, with Edwards being the eighth JUCO player added for the upcoming season. He joins fellow new additions like Cyncir Bowers (RB), Tyler Jacklich (RB), Adam Tomczyk (DL), Caleb Nuhi-Yandall (LB), Marshon Oxley (BAN), Keenan Eck (BAN), and Kaleb Gray (S).
Edwards will have three years of eligibility remaining, including his redshirt year, and may potentially seek a waiver to regain his 2024 junior college season.
Where He Fits:
At Trinity Valley, Edwards played both center and guard, so it’s likely he’ll be utilized on the interior line at West Virginia as well. His tape shows a player with great physicality, routinely driving defenders into the ground with powerful initial punches and explosive bursts off the line.
Coach Rodriguez has emphasized that all new additions are expected to help contribute to the team’s success immediately. Edwards will likely compete with players such as Donovan Haslam, Josh Aisosa, Cooper Young, Robby Martin, and Carson Lee for a spot on the travel roster.
