Atlanta Hawks Finalize Roster by Adding Magic Forward Caleb Houstan
The Atlanta Hawks have officially completed their roster for the upcoming season with the signing of forward Caleb Houstan. The team now has 15 players on the roster, plus three two-way contracts.
While news of Houstan’s signing was reported nearly a month ago, the Hawks made it official today.
Houstan (pronounced “Houston”) played in 58 games (six starts) for the Orlando Magic during the 2024-25 season, averaging 4.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game (.421 FG%, .400 3FG%, .882 FT%). After the All-Star break, he posted an impressive .507 shooting percentage from beyond the arc, ranking second in the NBA during that stretch (min. 35 3PM). On March 14, in a game against Minnesota, he recorded a season-high 18 points, making six three-pointers (6-8 3FG) and tying his career-high with four steals in 27 minutes.
Drafted by Orlando with the 32nd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Houstan has played in 168 career NBA games (23 starts), averaging 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 14.4 minutes. He has also seen postseason action, appearing in eight playoff games over two runs with the Magic.
In the 2024-25 season, Houstan played three games with the Osceola Magic in the NBA G League, averaging 15.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.0 steal in 33.4 minutes. Across 15 G League games, Houstan posted averages of 16.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 30.2 minutes, shooting .402 from the field and .353 from three.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Houstan played one season at Michigan in 2021-22, starting all 34 games. He averaged 10.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, leading the team with 60 made three-pointers.

Additionally, the Hawks confirmed the signing of N’Faly Dante yesterday.
Dante spent time with the Houston Rockets on a two-way deal during the 2024-25 season, appearing in four games and averaging 6.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 12.8 minutes per game. He made a memorable NBA debut on March 3, recording 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in just 18 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder. This performance made him the second player in NBA history (since 1983-84) to achieve those numbers in under 20 minutes, joining Kevin Love (2008).
The 6-11 center also played 42 games (all starts) for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA G League, where he averaged 15.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.0 steal in 26.8 minutes per game (.743 FG%).
Before going undrafted in 2024, Dante had a standout five-year college career at Oregon, playing 103 games (84 starts) and averaging 11.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.1 steals, and 1.3 blocks. In his final season, he posted 17.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game, earning All-Pac-12 First Team honors and Pac-12 Tournament MVP.
Dante, who hails from Bamako, Mali, has represented his country in the 2016 FIBA U-17 World Championship and played for Team World at the 2018 and 2019 Nike Hoops Summit.
