Chargers Welcome Back Fan-Favorite UDFA Amid Latest Roster Moves

The Los Angeles Chargers have made several under-the-radar roster moves ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, including the return of a fan-favorite. Undrafted wide receiver Luke Grimm has been re-signed to the practice squad, joining running back Amar Johnson. To make room, the team released offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart and placed wide receiver Jalen Reagor on the injured list.

Grimm, who had impressed during camp and was considered a long-shot candidate for the 53-man roster, was ultimately edged out when the Chargers opted to keep six receivers, with Derius Davis securing the final spot. His absence from the initial 17-man practice squad had sparked concern among fans that he might sign elsewhere, especially after fellow undrafted standout Raheim Sanders was claimed off waivers.

However, Grimm’s return brings a bit of good news for Chargers fans. With Reagor injured and JaQuae Jackson currently the only other receiver on the practice squad, Grimm is now in a solid position to be elevated to the active roster during the season if needed.
