Thanks to a draft-night deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta holds an unprotected 2026 first-rounder that could land high in the lottery.
Hawks Projected to Land Two Promising Forwards 
In Bleacher Report’s latest 2026 mock draft, Jonathan Wasserman has the Hawks selecting 6th overall with New Orleans’ pick and 18th overall with their own. The selections? Koa Peat from Arizona and Karter Knox from Arkansas — both highly touted five-star prospects.
Koa Peat – Pick No. 6 (via Pelicans)
Peat has been a standout for Team USA, winning four gold medals since 2022 and maintaining a top spot in recruiting rankings. Though not overly explosive, the 6’8″ forward uses his strength, balance, and polished footwork to thrive in mid-range and post play. Scouts have seen encouraging improvement in his handle and shooting, especially his efforts to expand his range.

Karter Knox – Pick No. 18
