“I’m really proud of our team. We hung in there despite a tough night and just kept playing for 60 minutes, eventually finding a way to win. Our defense, which had been playing well in camp, really stepped up. They did a great job, helped by the crowd noise, and managed to get some sacks. The key touchdown in the end zone really helped push us over the hump, and we finished strong with a big run. It was a hard-fought win, and I’m proud of how we stuck with it. There’s a lot to learn from this game. I need to do a better job adjusting to the blitz package they showed us. They brought a lot of pressure, which we didn’t fully anticipate, but we’ll need to handle that better moving forward. Even though things weren’t going smoothly for us, our receivers, tight ends, o-line, and running backs all did their part in the end.”

“Clev has been outstanding, and our veterans, along with the new guys, have really stepped up. That was a key to our victory. This wasn’t our best football, but defensively we did a lot of good things, even though we were on the field for long stretches. Offensively, we need to improve, but in a tough game, we came through. This is the first time we’ve faced real adversity this season, and we learned a lot from it. I’m proud of the way the team played hard until the very end—that shows they want to win.”

“The blitz definitely affected our run game. When they bring more than you can block, and we try to get the ball out quickly, they were all over us, nearly picking one off for a touchdown. They were aggressive, but luckily, we hit a couple of big plays—a pass and a run—that helped us score. When teams sell out like that, you have to hit some big plays. It’s tough to get consistent yardage, but we managed to avoid too many negative plays and found a way to get some key ones. There’s a lot we can learn from this, but we stuck together and came out on top.”
