Georgia Running Back Injured in SEC Opener Against Tennessee

During Georgia’s week three SEC opener against the Tennessee Volunteers, the Bulldogs have encountered an injury concern.

The game is underway, with both teams aiming to improve to 3-0. A win for Georgia would extend their dominance over Tennessee, marking their ninth consecutive victory and their fifth straight win in Neyland Stadium.

However, Georgia has been dealt a setback as running back Cash Jones appeared to suffer a lower-body injury. He was seen limping into the tunnel as the team headed to the locker room at halftime, and the Bulldogs’ medical staff is currently attending to him. No official statement on his condition has been released yet.

Georgia entered the game with several key injuries, and staying healthy will be crucial as their challenging SEC schedule continues. After this game, the Bulldogs will have a week off before hosting Alabama in Athens for the first time since 2015.

Stay tuned for further updates on Jones’ injury as more information becomes available from the University of Georgia’s athletic department.
