The Hawkeye men and women will be playing Nebraska twice this season.
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa has released its men’s and women’s basketball schedules, with the Hawkeyes set to travel across the country throughout the winter.
The Big Ten unveiled its 180 men’s conference matchups, and this season will also introduce a new format for the league tournament. The 29th Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will expand to an 18-team field, taking place March 10–15 at the United Center in Chicago.
Iowa will tip off Big Ten play on the road at Michigan State on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The Hawkeyes are set to play Maryland, Nebraska, and Purdue twice this season.
The men’s team opens its campaign at home against Robert Morris on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

The Big Ten has also released its 162 women’s conference matchups, with all 18 programs playing an 18-game league schedule. The 33rd Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament is set for March 4–8 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Iowa will open Big Ten play on the road at Rutgers on Saturday, Dec. 6, and will face Nebraska twice during the conference slate.
The Hawkeye women’s season begins with an exhibition against Ashland on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
