UVA Cavaliers: Big News Ahead of the Gridiron

Virginia men’s basketball has released the game times and broadcast details for its 2025-26 season. The Cavaliers’ schedule features 18 home games—including nine ACC matchups and one exhibition—along with 10 road games and four neutral-site contests.

HOME SCHEDULE

The Cavaliers will open their home slate with an exhibition against Villanova on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. (ACCNX). Their regular-season home games include matchups against Rider (Nov. 3), NC Central (Nov. 7), Hampton (Nov. 11), Marshall (Nov. 15), Queens (Nov. 28), Maryland Eastern Shore (Dec. 9), Maryland (Dec. 20), American (Dec. 22), Cal (Jan. 7), Stanford (Jan. 10), North Carolina (Jan. 24), Pitt (Feb. 3), Syracuse (Feb. 7), Miami (Feb. 21), NC State (Feb. 24), Wake Forest (March 3), and Virginia Tech (March 7). Broadcasts will air across ACCNX, ACC Network, ACC Network Extra, ESPN/2/U, and The CW, with times varying by game.

ROAD SCHEDULE

Virginia’s road slate features games at Texas (Dec. 3, 9:15 p.m., ESPN2/U), Virginia Tech (Dec. 31, 2 p.m., ACC Network), NC State (Jan. 3, 11 a.m., ESPN2), Louisville (Jan. 13, 7 p.m., ESPN/2), SMU (Jan. 17, Noon, ESPN/2/U), Notre Dame (Jan. 27, 7 p.m., ESPN/2/U), Boston College (Jan. 31, 1:30 p.m., The CW), Florida State (Feb. 10, 7 p.m., ESPN2/U), Georgia Tech (Feb. 18, 9 p.m., ACC Network), and Duke (Feb. 28, Noon, ESPN/2).

NEUTRAL-SITE SCHEDULE

The Cavaliers are set to face Northwestern (Nov. 21, 5 p.m., CBS Sports Network) and Butler (Nov. 23, 2 p.m., CBS Sports Network) at the Skechers Greenbrier Tip-Off in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. UVA will also take on Dayton (Dec. 6, Noon, ESPN2) in Charlotte, N.C., and meet Ohio State (Feb. 14, time TBA) in Nashville, Tenn.

TELEVISION EXPOSURE

The Cavaliers’ schedule features 11 games on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, eight matchups on the ACC Network, and two games on CBS Sports Network. Additionally, six games—including the Oct. 24 exhibition against Villanova—will air on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX).

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

The 2025-26 Virginia roster features 11 newcomers, including Dallin Hall (BYU), Malik Thomas (San Francisco), Devin Tillis (UC Irvine), Jacari White (North Dakota State), Ugonna Onyenso (Kansas State), Sam Lewis (Toledo), Martin Carrere (VCU), Silas Barksdale (Woodside High School), Thijs De Ridder (Bilbao Basket), Johann Grünloh (RASTA Vechta), and Chance Mallory (St. Anne’s Belfield). They join redshirt sophomores Elijah Gertrude, Carter Lang, and Desmond Roberts, along with freshman Owen Odom.

TICKET INFORMATION

Virginia will host Villanova in an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at JPJ Arena. Season ticket holders can attend for free, while general admission tickets (excluding courtside rows one and two) are $25 and available at uvatix.com.

A limited number of season tickets remain available. Single-game, group, and mini-plan ticket details will be released later this fall at uvatix.com. Fans can also contact the ticket sales team at (434) 924-8821 for additional seating options.

Mini-plans and November single-game tickets go on sale Oct. 9 at uvatix.com. The four-game mini-plan allows fans to choose Maryland or North Carolina, one of Syracuse, Miami, or Virginia Tech, and two other games of their choice. Group deposits are now live! Fans can secure priority seating for high-demand home games by placing a $100 non-refundable deposit toward their group purchase. Deposits can be submitted online or by calling the UVA sales team at (434) 924-8821.
