Several new names were added to the mandatory update.

TEMPE — The Arizona State Sun Devils continue to face mounting challenges in the 2025 season — not only from their Big 12 opponents but also from a growing list of injuries.

Head coach Kenny Dillingham’s program released its first official injury report Wednesday night ahead of Saturday’s matchup with conference rival Utah, as required by Big 12 policy.

Several new names appeared on Arizona State’s latest injury report, joining a number of familiar absences. Arizona State on SI breaks down the latest updates from Wednesday night below.

OUT

DB Xavion Alford, DE Albert Smith III, WR Noble Johnson, QB Cameron Dyer, DB Plas Johnson, LB Zyrus Fiaseu, OL Doughless Teloma, OL Brent Helton, DL Zac Swanson, DL MyKeil Gardner

Alford, who has been sidelined since the Texas State matchup, was once again confirmed out by Head Coach Kenny Dillingham last week. Smith and Fiaseu remain unavailable, further thinning Arizona State’s depth on defense. Swanson, who made an impact in the win over TCU, was officially ruled out by Dillingham during Monday’s press conference. Noble Johnson is a new addition to the report, and his status moving forward remains uncertain.

QUESTIONABLE

RB, Kyson Brown, DB Montana Warren, DL Ian Shewell

Brown returns to the injury report after a pair of outings where he appeared to be working his way back into rhythm within the offense. He’s aiming to regain the form he showed in the season opener, when he totaled 145 yards of offense.

Meanwhile, Warren made noticeable progress during the bye week and could be available to play, though Kyndrich Breedlove is still expected to hold down the starting nickel role.

PROBABLE

WR Jordyn Tyson, TE Chamon Metayer, DL Clayton Smith, QB Sam Leavitt, S Xavier Skowron, TE Khamari Anderson, P Kanyon Floyd, DL Prince Dorbah, K Jesus Gomez, and OL Jimeto Obigbo were all listed on the latest injury report.

Among them, Tyson, Leavitt, Metayer, Smith, Dorbah, and Obigbo are notable starters newly added to the list. Though each is currently listed as probable, their availability remains important to monitor as the week unfolds.

Anderson’s status also bears watching — the Kentucky transfer has been a key contributor as both a reliable blocker and a dependable target in the passing game.

Floyd’s outlook is encouraging, especially after Matt McKenzie faced difficulties punting into the wind during the win over Texas Christian two weeks ago.

The final injury report is scheduled for release about an hour before the 7:15 P.M. kickoff (Arizona time), with an updated report expected on Friday.
