The Tigers add their first offensive tackle prospect and one of the best players so far in their 2026 class.
The Missouri Tigers just landed their biggest addition yet for the 2026 recruiting class, securing a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Johnnie Jones.
A native of Venice, Florida, Jones was one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the nation. Ranked No. 122 overall in the composite rankings, No. 9 among offensive tackles, and No. 17 in Florida, he quickly became a priority target for several major programs following his decommitment from UCLA.
Jones’ recruitment drew heavy interest from Mississippi State, Florida State, and Penn State, among others. He also held offers from Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Arkansas, and a host of additional Power Five schools.
Momentum for Missouri began building earlier this month when On3’s recruiting experts projected a commitment to the Tigers on October 9, signaling what would become a major recruiting win for head coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff. The commitment adds even more strength to a 2026 class that’s been steadily rising with several key targets still on the board.
