4-Star WR Khalil Taylor to Visit Nebraska After Penn State Decommitment
Just a few days after withdrawing his commitment from Penn State, class of 2027 wide receiver Khalil Taylor has scheduled a visit to Nebraska for October 25. The Huskers were one of the first schools he identified as a priority following his decommitment, and now they’ll have the chance to make their pitch in person. With Taylor’s standout athleticism and early Power Five attention, Nebraska’s staff, led by Matt Rhule, has a key opportunity to leave a strong impression.
Taylor was a standout last season at Seton LaSalle High School, earning KDKA Super 7 2A Player of the Year and Century Conference Player of the Year honors. He helped lead the team to an 11-2 season and a spot in the WPIAL championship, showcasing his versatility and impact on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he caught 51 passes for 932 yards and 22 touchdowns, added two kickoff return touchdowns, and had a defensive pick-six.
Now a junior at Pine-Richland High School, Taylor has continued to perform at a high level, recording 19 catches for 317 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averages 16.7 yards per catch and 45.3 receiving yards per game, with a long reception of 76 yards.
According to 247Sports, Taylor is a four-star prospect, ranked No. 102 nationally in the 2027 class. He’s the No. 14 wide receiver in the country and the No. 4 overall player in Pennsylvania.
