What Jeff Brohm and Louisville Players Said After 38–24 Win Over Boston College
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville didn’t play its sharpest football on Saturday night, but the Cardinals still managed to pull out a 38–24 victory over Boston College at L&N Stadium.
After the game, head coach Jeff Brohm, quarterback Miller Moss, linebackers T.J. Quinn and Kalib Perry, offensive lineman Mahamane Moussa, and running back Keyjuan Brown shared their thoughts on the win.

Opening Statement
“Every win is a good win, and I’m proud of our team. What stands out to me is how hard our guys play — even when things aren’t smooth, they keep competing. We tried making adjustments; some worked, some didn’t, but our players responded well.
We didn’t have many offensive plays in the first half — maybe around 16 — and our defense started slow, letting them move the ball on the first couple of drives. Once we started applying more pressure, things changed. I’d like to see us execute better in our base defense, but the pressure packages helped.
Offensively, it was an up-and-down night. We made some explosive plays but also stalled on a few drives. When a defense brings heavy pressure like they did, you’ll have some negative plays, but if you get through that first wave, you have to capitalize — and we did. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a good win. We’ll learn from it, and I credit our players for fighting until the end.”
On balancing playmakers and offensive performance
“Our playmakers stepped up when we needed them. Isaac (Brown) showed his speed, and Keyjuan (Brown) ran hard. We had some negative runs, but we stuck with it and eventually broke a few. The passing game wasn’t as sharp, but that’s something we can improve.
Chris (Bell) and Caullin (Lacy) played tough and made plays. Of course, I’d like us to execute better overall, but scoring 38 points and tightening up on defense in the second half are positives. We got key stops on third down, and there’s plenty to review and improve — but a win’s a win.”
On maintaining focus after big wins
“Yes, it’s always on my mind. After a big win, you worry about losing focus, but I thought our team practiced well and stayed locked in. People might not realize it, but in college football, anyone can beat anyone on a given day.
You have to stay sharp, adjust, and play hard every snap. We weren’t perfect — there were some sloppy moments on both sides of the ball — but we made enough big plays and key stops to finish strong. There’s still a lot we can learn from the film, but this group wants to win, and we’ll keep working to get better for the next one.”
