D’Tigers Star Precious Achiuwa Joins NBA’s Sacramento Kings

Nigeria’s D’Tigers standout Precious Achiuwa has taken another major step in his NBA career, securing a move to the Sacramento Kings,
The 26-year-old center, who has spent the past five seasons in the league, joins the Kings following his departure from the Miami Heat earlier this summer.
Achiuwa most recently played for the New York Knicks, joining the team in December 2023, where he provided valuable minutes off the bench while continuing to refine his all-around game.
In Sacramento, the Nigerian international is expected to bring energy, rebounding, and defensive strength to the Kings’ frontcourt as they aim to make a deeper Western Conference playoff push.
A versatile and athletic big man, Achiuwa has averaged 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game over his NBA career, which has included stints with the Heat, Toronto Raptors, and Knicks.
His move to the Kings opens a new chapter in an already promising career for the D’Tigers forward, who continues to proudly represent Nigeria on basketball’s global stage.
