Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle has confirmed that the team will be without two players for the foreseeable future.

Carlisle announced that Johnny Furphy and Quenton Jackson are both sidelined indefinitely, with no set timetable for their return.

Coach Carlisle says that Johnny Furphy and Quenton Jackson “will be out for a while.”

They won’t play on the road trip upcoming and might be out further than that.

Johnny Furphy sustained an ankle injury during Monday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks and did not return to the game, which ended in a Pacers loss. Before exiting, the young guard recorded three points and three rebounds in 13 minutes of action.

The second-year player went down in the fourth quarter while driving to the basket. His absence adds to what has already been an injury-plagued start for the Pacers, who have yet to reach the 10-game mark this season.

Furphy was initially listed as day-to-day, but with his status now changed to out indefinitely, Jarace Walker and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl are expected to see an increase in playing time moving forward.
