Canadian high school pitcher Sean Duncan has officially committed to the renowned Vanderbilt University. His impressive performance and development have been generating buzz throughout the baseball communities in Canada and the United States.
Recently, Duncan showcased his noteworthy skills on home soil in Toronto, pitching at the 2024 Canadian Futures Showcase held at the Rogers Centre, where he caught the eye of numerous scouts and evaluators.
Having already made a name for himself as a member of the Canadian Junior National Team, Duncan hails from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, and currently plays for the Langley Blaze travel team. He has also been a part of the Brewers Canada Scout Team.

Vanderbilt boasts two NCAA tournament championships, won in 2014 and 2019, along with five College World Series appearances and two second-place finishes. With top talents like David Price, Sonny Gray, and Dansby Swanson, as well as Jack Leiter, Kumar Rocker, and Walker Buehler, Vanderbilt has a track record of attracting and developing stars.
The Vandy program is highly regarded, known for its exceptional talent, uniforms, and facilities. Another Canadian player, Cooper Davis, also had the chance to experience the Vanderbilt advantage before being drafted by the Blue Jays in 2017. Now, Duncan is set to follow in his footsteps.

Although the left-hander may seem undersized, his performance metrics more than compensate. He demonstrates impressive strength and durability on the mound, with a consistent delivery that hints at strong future potential.
His sharp four-seam fastball regularly hits the corners and reaches speeds of up to 93 mph, consistently sitting between 90-92 mph. His standout pitch is a heavy sinker that hovers around 92 mph with notable movement. Additionally, he throws a slider in the low 70s and an early-80s changeup that has good drop.
