Cincinnati Bearcats Forward Dan Skillings Jr. Enters Transfer Portal
The Cincinnati Bearcats’ roster may see some changes next season.
CINCINNATI — Forward Dan Skillings Jr. is looking for a new home in college basketball after spending his first three seasons at Cincinnati. The wing player has one year of eligibility remaining, having averaged 9.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game this past season. Joe Tipton from On3 reported Skillings’ decision to enter the transfer portal on Monday.
Skillings started 13 of 29 games this season, down from 15 starts in the 2023-24 season. After recovering from a knee injury suffered in the first game, he struggled as a defender, scorer, and rebounder, putting together a disappointing season while averaging 22.8 minutes per game.
Skillings was one of head coach Wes Miller’s first full recruits at Cincinnati, joining Josh Reed and Sage Tolentino in the 2022 class.
