Oklahoma State Secures Four-Star LSU Transfer Guard
Oklahoma State continues to make a splash in the transfer portal, especially in the backcourt.
In recent days, the Cowboys have added three talented guards, and on Sunday, they landed a fourth. Vyctorius Miller, a transfer from LSU, committed to Oklahoma State for his second season of college basketball, according to Pete Nakos of On3.
Miller had a relatively limited role with LSU last season, playing in 25 games and starting the final five. Despite his potential, he didn’t receive as much playing time as some of his peers. Coming to LSU as a four-star prospect, Miller maintains his four-star status in the transfer portal, making him a significant addition to Steve Lutz’s team.
Although his role wasn’t as big as he might have hoped, Miller now has the chance to contribute to something special in Stillwater. Last season, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 19 minutes per game.
Miller posted double-digit points in 11 games last season, including six contests against power conference teams. His scoring ability further aligns with OSU’s strategy of adding players who can create their own shots and score efficiently.
Though he had some strong scoring performances, Miller will need to work on his efficiency. He shot 58.5% from inside the arc but only 31.8% from three-point range.
Miller also reflects OSU’s interest in boosting its three-point game. He averaged 3.5 attempts from beyond the arc per game last season, making up over 50% of his shots. Despite his struggles from deep, Miller consistently got to the free-throw line, averaging 2.4 attempts per game with a 72.9% success rate. With his offensive versatility, Miller could play various roles for the Cowboys next season.
