Gonzaga Expresses Interest in Missouri State Transfer Vincent Brady II

Missouri State transfer guard Vincent Brady II has reportedly drawn interest from Gonzaga, as head coach Mark Few and his staff aim to bolster their backcourt and add perimeter shooting through the transfer portal for the 2025-26 season.

Per On3’s Jamie Shaw, Gonzaga is one of several programs that have reached out to Brady since he entered the portal. The 6-foot-4 guard connected on an impressive 38% of his three-point attempts last season and is scheduled to visit High Point on April 13. He’s also been contacted by Kansas.

Brady averaged 13.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while starting all 30 games for Missouri State during a challenging 9-23 season. He had standout performances, including a career-best 29-point, 8-rebound outing against Bradley on Jan. 4 and a 27-point, 10-rebound game versus High Point in November.

Before his time at Missouri State, Brady spent two seasons at IUPUI (now IU Indianapolis) after graduating from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. He earned Horizon League All-Freshman honors by shooting 34.7% from three and averaging 10.9 points per game, though his production dipped in his sophomore year before rebounding strongly in Springfield.

Gonzaga is expected to lose key guards Ryan Nembhard, Nolan Hickman, and Khalif Battle to graduation this spring. Looking ahead, Braeden Smith is set to run the point in 2025-26, with Emmanuel Innocenti potentially returning to add defensive depth. However, the Bulldogs are in dire need of outside shooting after finishing with historically low three-point numbers last season. With Ben Gregg graduating and Dusty Stromer transferring to Grand Canyon, the team will lose its top five shooters from beyond the arc.

Brady isn’t the only sharpshooter on Gonzaga’s radar—shortly before Shaw’s report, On3’s Joe Tipton noted that the Zags are also eyeing Kansas State transfer Brendan Hausen. The 6-foot-4 guard ranked fourth in the Big 12 in three-point percentage (38.8%) and made 90 triples last season.
