Peyton Falzone, a 4-star prospect from Nazareth High, commits to Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class.
Penn State head coach James Franklin scored a significant recruiting win on Saturday night when 4-star Pennsylvania quarterback Peyton Falzone announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions’ 2026 class. Falzone shared the news on social media, becoming the second quarterback pledge in the cycle.

Falzone, an emerging talent in national recruiting, is recognized as a 4-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite and is ranked as the 11th-best quarterback in the country. He is also the fourth-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania for the 2026 cycle, with Penn State having secured commitments from three of the top four players in the state.
As a junior at Nazareth, Falzone earned a spot on the Pennsylvania Class 6A all-state team after passing for 2,135 yards and throwing 23 touchdowns, while also rushing for eight touchdowns and accumulating 697 rushing yards. In his sophomore year, he recorded 2,427 passing yards and 19 touchdowns.
Originally, Falzone committed to Virginia Tech and coach Brent Pry in June 2024 but decided to reopen his recruitment in November. He has visited Penn State several times and has also traveled to Ohio State, Iowa, Utah, and Syracuse. He has received offers from Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Rutgers.
Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 200 pounds, Falzone trains with Ohio-based position coach Brad Maendler, who also coaches current Penn State quarterbacks Drew Allar and Ethan Grunkemeyer. Maendler has expressed high praise for Falzone on social media.
“In my 18 years of QB training, I’ve had many talented players, but I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a quarterback as physically gifted as 2026 Nazareth (PA) QB Peyton Falzone,” Maendler stated in a March post on X.

Penn State now has two quarterbacks committed to its 2026 recruiting class. Falzone joins Troy Huhn, a 4-star prospect from California who made his commitment known in June 2024. With Falzone’s addition, the 2026 class has reached a total of ten commitments, ranking sixth nationally according to the 247Sports Composite.
Falzone attends the same high school as Jahan Dotson, the former Penn State receiver and Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles. His father, Tom, serves as the head football coach at Nazareth. Recently, Falzone achieved a personal best time of 10.68 seconds (hand-timed) in the 100-meter dash as a member of the Blue Eagles’ track team.
