Breaking: Wisconsin Badgers Strikes Gold

Wisconsin Football Secures Commitment from Class of 2026 QB Ryan Hopkins from Mater Dei High School

The Wisconsin Badgers have locked in their future quarterback, securing a commitment from four-star recruit Ryan Hopkins for the Class of 2026.

Hopkins, a dual-threat quarterback, is entering his senior year at California’s prestigious Mater Dei High School, one of the top football programs in the nation. He chose Wisconsin over offers from Missouri, California, Duke, and others.

This will be Hopkins’ first season at Mater Dei after spending the past three years at Trinity League rival JSerra Catholic. During his time there, he helped lead JSerra to a 6-5 record. Mater Dei, meanwhile, has won the last two California Open Division titles and claimed national championships during that period.

As a junior, Hopkins passed for over 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also rushing for nearly 500 yards and adding eight more touchdowns. In addition to his football prowess, Hopkins is a standout track athlete, recently running the 100-meter dash in 10.66 seconds.
