Tennessee Titans Hit with Mega Update

Cam Ward Positioned as Ideal Fit for Titans

The Tennessee Titans are primed to make Cam Ward their top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the number one overall selection and a clear need for a quarterback. With Ward standing out as the best quarterback in this draft class, it’s a natural match— but does he align with the Titans’ goals?

According to The Athletic’s Derrik Klassen, the fit seems perfect.

“Everything points to Ward becoming the Titans’ starting QB in 2024. At this point, there’s little reason to consider alternative quarterbacks or team options. Ward aligns well with Brian Callahan’s offensive system and offers elements that Tennessee’s QBs lacked last season,” Klassen explains.

“The Titans’ 2024 offense revolves around maximizing play-action and stretching the field, areas where Ward excels thanks to his arm strength and fearless mentality. Ward has also made significant strides in his quick-game execution in college, and he’s far more comfortable operating from spread and empty sets than Will Levis has ever been. Plus, Ward outshines both Levis and Mason Rudolph in creating plays outside the pocket.”

“Though Ward’s aggressive style will lead to some early struggles, the potential payoff is immense. He has both the floor and ceiling to justify being the top pick in this draft.”

Ward would be a significant upgrade over Levis in many aspects, especially in terms of potential. The Titans need a quarterback who can lead them to victories every week, and if Ward can deliver on that, he could be the key to revitalizing Tennessee’s playoff hopes in the AFC.
