Another Duke Basketball Player Announces Return for Next Season
Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff are getting another key player back, as Caleb Foster confirms he’ll return for another season. Freshman guard Darren Harris was quick to announce his return to Durham, and now, just two weeks after the Blue Devils’ season ended with a Final Four loss to Houston, Foster has followed suit, confirming he’ll spend at least one more year with Duke.
Foster, a North Carolina native and lifelong Duke fan, shared on Thursday that his commitment to helping the Blue Devils secure a sixth national championship remains unchanged. “Nothing has changed at all,” he said, reaffirming his dedication to the program.

Duke’s official social media quickly celebrated Foster’s decision, sharing a throwback photo of him in a Duke hoodie as a kid, showing his long-standing passion for the team.
Last season, after averaging 7.7 points as a freshman, Foster’s role diminished significantly, even falling out of the rotation for a while. As a sophomore, he averaged just 4.9 points in 14.0 minutes per game, though he was still part of a Blue Devils squad that finished the season with 35 wins and ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Poll.
