Georgia Tech O-Line Commitment Honest Explanation Why He’s Giving South Carolina a Closer Look
Georgia Tech offensive line recruit Jimmy Bryson is returning to South Carolina this weekend for an official visit with his parents. He previously visited earlier this month for the Ole Miss game. Bryson (6-3, 280) mentioned that USC head coach Shane Beamer and offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley maintain regular communication with him. “I love the coaching staff and what they’re offering,” Bryson said. “They’ve made it clear that I’m their guy, which I really appreciate. I can’t wait to get to campus, and they’re eager to have me there.”
Bryson witnessed the Gamecocks (4-3) face Ole Miss, which he described as their worst performance of the season, and he also watched their recent victory over Oklahoma on TV. They will host No. 10 Texas A&M this Saturday. “I love the energy of the team,” Bryson said. “Winning is important to me, and seeing them win against top SEC teams is significant. The crowd energy was incredible when I was there; it was wild.”
Originally from Crossville, Tennessee, Bryson attends Baylor School in Chattanooga, where his coach is former USC quarterback and assistant Erik Kimrey. Although Kimrey occasionally promotes his alma mater, Bryson respects the recruiting process and appreciates his space. “Right now, it’s all about figuring out if South Carolina is the right fit for me,” Bryson explained. “During my official visit, I’ll learn more about what South Carolina offers. I’ve spoken with him about it, and he’s still a devoted fan.”
Bryson confirmed that his commitment to Georgia Tech is still strong and he has another visit scheduled with the Yellow Jackets on November 9. He has also visited Kentucky and Missouri for games this season. He will make a final decision after considering all his visits. “I’ll need to see how everything plays out with my family and evaluate everything,” Bryson said. “It depends on my official visit to South Carolina; that will be crucial. I’m just trying to stay patient throughout this process.”
