Dallas Cowboys Land Fan-Favorite in Exciting New NFL Mock Draft Prediction
Cowboys fans are in for a treat with ESPN NFL Draft analyst Jordan Reid’s latest mock draft, where he projects a selection that is sure to get fans buzzing.
As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, the Dallas Cowboys’ first-round pick is a hot topic of discussion. While there’s no consensus on who they should pick, fans have been eagerly speculating. Despite the uncertainty, the team has kept its plans largely under wraps this offseason.
In his recent mock draft, Reid predicts the Cowboys will select Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with their first-round pick.
“The Cowboys desperately need a WR2 to pair with CeeDee Lamb,” Reid wrote. “McMillan offers something Dak Prescott hasn’t had recently—a big, versatile target capable of attacking defenses in multiple ways.”
Over his three seasons at Arizona, McMillan stood out with 33 receptions on passes thrown 20 or more yards downfield, leading the country in that category. He also shined in short-yardage situations, leading the FBS with 145 receiving first downs during that stretch. Reid also pointed out that Dallas struggled in red zone efficiency last season, ranking 31st in the league at 46%, a problem McMillan could help address with his ability to win one-on-one matchups.
As the draft draws near, it seems increasingly likely that the Cowboys will prioritize a wide receiver, and McMillan appears to be their top target.
